Winslow

Back on March 26, we responded to a phone call regarding a mother cat (Tei), her sister(Jade) and three kittens. Tei and Jade had been found in a box and once the family got them home, Tei went into labor.
She gave birth to three of the tiniest kittens we had ever seen - and only one was not still born. Tei, the mother, did not have even have milk developed yet and had no idea what to do with this little meowing thing.
Against all odds, Winslow was alive (And very premature!) once we went to rescue them.

At only half a day old, Winslow was about the length of a thumb and very fragile. But boy, was he a fighter! He was full of life and spunk and had no problem letting you know if he had an issue. Winslow had to be bottle fed every hour for the first month and a half.

Against all odds, Winslow lived. There were many close calls (Infections, undeveloped internal organs) but he fought through all of them.

Above, Winslow 4 weeks old

Winnie was very behind on his development, often weeks behind. All good things come in time though, right?
Winslow is a fighter. He's now 8 weeks old, eating soft food, running, playing and is still full of spunk.

He's itty bitty, but don't let his size fool you - he can take on anyone!

Winslow is not yet available for adoption but we hope that soon he'll be healthy enough to find his furrever home. He's still too little to be vaccinated and undergo adoption procedures. Because Winnie was never able to nurse off of his mother, he may have a compromised immune system for the rest of his life.
