Vern

We are currently looking for a Foster (or adoptive!) home for one of our kittens, Vern. Vern has a compromised immune system and needs to be in a environment with no other cats, or with cats with the same disorder.

Vern is an 8 month old domestic shorthair with tons of love to give! He's affectionate, friendly and very playful. He's goofy and loves to play. Vern does get along with other cats and dogs.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please contact the shelter at (403)362-4323 or info@bapsociety.com

Maz(Adopted!)

Meet Maz!(Adopted!)

Maz is a 5 month old Poodle Cross. He's good with other dogs and loves all people. He has yet to be cat tested but that can be done.

Maz was surrendered after his family moved to Brooks and could no longer keep him. He's a little guy with tons of personality. He loves to go for walks, play in the yard and chew on his squeakie toys.

Maz's family said that he doesn't bark much, is house trained and is a fast learner. Maz has lots of potential and will make anyone a wonderful new addition to their family.

Tego

Meet Tego, one of our new arrivals.

Tego is a three year old, male, Corgi cross. He has beautiful brindle markings and a personality to match!

Tego is good with dogs, cats and children. He's a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up to you quite fast. Tego loves to play fetch, tug-o-war and go for lots of walks. He's seems to have good leash manners! He's housetrained, not an escape artist and loves to cuddle. He needs a little work on his house manners, but he promises to learn fast with proper leadership!

He was surrendered when his family just did not have time for him anymore. Here's what they had to say about this cutie:

"Tego is a very energetic dog. He can be scared or timid at first, but give him a chance and he will warm up to you. Tego loves to go on walks and play fetch. He can Rollover, shake, high-five, sit, stay, come and love down. He loves to learn new commands. He was not treat-trained, so he will do all of these commands without treats. All of his toys have always been referred to as "Monkey". If you tell him to go find Monkey or ask him to play fetch, he will go and find his favorite toy and bring it to you. He loves to catch it mid-air. When he wants to go outside he will wait by the door. Tego needs a good home where someone will have time to be with him. Just give him a chance and I know you will love him."

Welcome to our new blog!

Welcome to BAPS' new blog.

With the launch of our new website, we will also be featuring two blogs. One, (this current one) will have adoptable animals, announcements, news, events, happy tails, adopted animals and more. We believe this will be a beneficial way to stay more in touch with the public and to keep you up to date on what's happening with the shelter. The second, Lost and Found, will feature all animals brought in from the City of Brooks Animal Control found running at large. It will also include missing animal reports submitted by families. Stay Tuned!
